Following graduation from WFSHS, completed BA in psychology (comparative/industrial/testing; George Washington Univ., DC), MA in public administration (policy formulation/systems management/government-business relations; also GWU), served in USAF at Pentagon (systems analyst; 4 yrs), worked for Dept. of the Army (as civilian) at the Pentagon for many years, primarily in military manpower

School Story:

I have always looked back fondly at my years at WFSHS and my many friendships there. I also cannot forget the many fine and dedicated teachers that I was fortunate to have. What I learned at WFSHS served me well through life. But, of course, I also cannot forget the many funny experiences while in high school - they bring a smile to my face to this day. Subsequent to graduation, I lived in Dallas for one year, then briefly in San Antonio and Pennsylvania. Recent decades have been spent here in Northern Virginia, just outside Washington, DC. Over the years, though, I have visited and traveled all over my beloved Texas, from El Paso to Texarkana, from Amarillo to Laredo, Lubbock to Big Bend, whenever the opportunity permitted.

I had the pleasure of being in several classes with Larry in High School, as well as other associations from that era.  As all who knew him will agree, Larry was super sharp, but also a great guy. He was quick-witted, a breath-taking wize at mathematics, an all aroind super star in all academic fields.  Although none of us are destined to last forever, it was with sadness that I learned of his recent passing, a great human being and a superb tribute to the great start in life that we received at WFSHS.
